“Our music ministry is beautiful! We are truly blessed to have such volunteers in our church willing to share their God given talents for God and the congregation.” - Parishioner

“Cantoring is a very fulfilling form of stewardship. Taking an active part in the Mass enhances my appreciation and understanding of what we do each week as Catholics. Also, I find giving thanks and praise to God through music a beautiful form of prayer.

Music Ministry ASacred Heart Adult Choir

“As sacred song united to the words, music forms an integral part of solemn liturgy.  Yet the function of music is ministerial; it must serve and never dominate.”  This is the premise upon which our liturgical music program is based.  Sacred Heart is very fortunate to have an active music ministry of all ages who strive to be ministers of faith and prayer.  Our goal is to enhance sung prayer during the liturgy and encourage the community of faithful to worship with song.

Sacred Heart Church

Sacred Heart Church has an adult choir of over thirty men and women who sing in four-part harmony at the 11 o’clock Mass. Members are accepted through an audition with the choir director.

Sacred Heart Children's ChoirThe Sacred Heart Children’s choir consists of children in grades two through eight. There are no auditions for the children and they sing at the 9:30 a.m. family Mass on the second and forth Sundays of each month. Sign-ups for the children’s choir are done at religious education registration. Some are placed on a waiting list until room is available.

Each choir practices once a week. The Sacred Heart adults rehearse on Wednesday evenings from 7:15-9:00 p.m. The children practice on Thursday afternoons from 4-5:00 p.m. at the church. We are very fortunate to have such enthusiastic volunteers in both choirs and also as leaders of songs. All who wish to sing in the Adult Choir are requested to audition

St. Rose of Lima
